For the woman who reapplies lip balm six times a day and has stopped asking why.
Every ingredient in this tin is food.
Read the back of most lip balms. Petrolatum, synthetic fragrance, a preservative system, and a flavour compound designed to taste like something rather than be it.
Everything in this tin is food-grade. Tallow, beeswax, shea butter, raspberry seed oil, coconut oil, spearmint. That is the entire list. 🌱
✨ Why it behaves differently
Lips have no oil glands. They cannot moisturise themselves, which is why they are the first thing to go in winter and on a plane.
Petrolatum-based balms sit on top and feel good, and lips underneath stay exactly as dry as they were. A lipid balm gives lips something they can actually use.
What it means for you: fewer reapplications, and lips that are in better shape at the end of a week rather than the same shape.
🌾 What's in it
🌱 Food-grade throughout Nothing in the tin that would be out of place in a kitchen. What it means for you: something you can wear to dinner and reapply at the table without thinking about it.
🐄 Grass-fed tallow with beeswax and shea A lipid balm rather than a petrolatum one. What it means for you: lips that improve between applications rather than only feeling better during.
🍃 Spearmint The only flavour, and it is the leaf. What it means for you: clean and cool, without the artificial sweetness most balms carry.
🫙 A tin, not a tube What it means for you: it sits on a desk rather than getting lost in a bag, and it lasts.
🤍 Getting the most from it
Apply it at night as well as through the day. Lips repair overnight, and this is the application that does the most work.
A very small amount is enough. It melts on contact with skin temperature.
🕯️ The ritual
Last thing before bed, and once more before anything that matters. That is the whole routine.
Ingredients: Organic grass-fed beef tallow, organic beeswax, organic African shea butter, organic cold-pressed red raspberry seed oil, coconut oil, spearmint essential oil.
How to use: Glide over lips anytime they feel dry, and again after a day outdoors. Reapply as often as you like.
Not a sunscreen. "Edible" means food-grade ingredients. For external use only.
